Life with Tibetan Terriers began in 1985 for us, when I
purchased a Tibetan Terrier for my 14 year old son.
I had just started training and showing Bearded Collies,
and I had promised my son a dog of his own for junior
high graduation. I was expecting to get another Beardie, the more the merrier I thought, my son Mark had
other ideas though. After much research Mark
presented me with a request for a rather rare breed, a
Tibetan Terrier. Fate must have had a hand in this
choice, as we discovered an 8 week old litter of puppies
only 50 miles from home. We all laughed as our
black bundle of fur gamely followed along behind our
Beardie, hence her name "Hey Who's Wait for Mee-Tu".
Mee-tu won her championship in 10 shows at only 1-1/2
years old. She won our hearts in only a few days.
Thus started a love affair with a house full of shaggy
